FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I book a session?
Please fill out my contact form and I will be in touch.
For all sessions except for mini sessions I require a non refundable $100 deposit to hold your photoshoot date. For mini shoots the non refundable deposit is $50. The remainder for all sessions isn't due until after your photoshoot.
What do I do if it's bad weather?
While we can’t control the weather, some overcast and drizzly days can actually make for the most beautiful, moody photos. If you're up for it, we can go ahead as planned; otherwise, we can always reschedule. I’ll be in touch if any changes need to be made to your booking due to weather.
How long does it take to recieve my photos and how will they will be delivered?
All photos will be delivered through a secure online gallery. While I aim to deliver your images within 1 to 2 weeks, turnaround time may vary depending on my current workload. Rest assured, your photos will be ready within a maximum of 3 weeks.
Can I choose the location of our session?
Yes!! I am more than happy for you to choose the location, in-fact your photos will mean so much more if they taken at a place that is special to you and your family. If it is within 25km of Omokoroa, there is no extra cost. If it is outside of this radius, I charge a per/km fee. This will be discussed upon booking.
Alternatively, I have a number of locations I can suggest if you are unsure on where to go.
Can I choose my own photos?
For all standard sessions, your package includes your full gallery of professionally edited images, so there's no need to choose favourites.
Mini Sessions are the exception. You'll receive an online gallery where you can select your preferred image collection or upgrade to the full gallery.
What do I wear?
Please remember, this is just a guide, ultimately, these are your photos, so wear what feels best for you and what makes you feel comfortable!
If you're looking for some advice, I tend to recommend earthy tones, as they complement my style beautifully. The only thing I’d suggest avoiding is clothing with logos, graphics, or wording. While matching outfits are totally fine, photos tend to look even better with contrasting colors and textures that complement one another. For autumn and winter, darker earthy tones, chunky knits, and hats are perfect. For spring and summer, lighter colors and pastels shine.
If you’d like any further advice or want to run your outfit ideas by me, feel free to send me photos, I’m more than happy to help.
What happens if I have to reschedule or cancel?
I completely understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes things come up. If you need to cancel your session, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice.
Here’s an outline of my cancellation policy:
-Cancellations made within 48 hours of your session will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
-If you’re more than 30 minutes late without prior communication, the same policy applies.
-If you need to reschedule, I’m happy to accommodate one reschedule at no extra charge. However, if you need to reschedule more than once, the original non-refundable deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to secure a new session.
In the case of a true, unavoidable emergency, I’m happy to apply your deposit toward future services.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
Yes, absolutely! If you’d like a gift voucher, just get in touch. I can either email it to you or you can pick it up directly from me in Omokoroa.
Where can I print my photos?
If you’re looking for a local option in the WBOP, Katipo in Katikati is fantastic! Otherwise, I recommend Queensberry for high-quality prints. I can even order these for you and have them delivered straight to your home.
While kiosks are often convenient and budget-friendly, just keep in mind that the quality and colour accuracy may not always be up to standard.
